I know it seems too early to be thinking about Christmas but really, if you are planning on making your Christmas cards, now is the time to start planning. And the October stamp of the month from Close to my Heart is just the ticket to help you out now. I am trying to get my cards done sooner rather than later so that they can be mailed out early in the month and not hanging over my head, taunting me. Last year I was one of those happy New Years day people. Granted, I had just had twins in December but if I would have had all my cards done, the simple act of printing address labels and putting a stamp on the front probably would have been doable.... even for me. So this year is going to be different. And it is so easy to get excited about Christmas cards when these stamps from Close To My Heart are so dang cute!
Here are two different styles that I can up with. The 6x6 card used the kissing technique. It turned out pretty cute for my first endeavor ( I tried it on the "do not open until December 25th" stamp, but it was an epic fail. The 25 ended up backwards...oops). This card is a different size from standard, so the postage may be more. You may want to check that before you make 600 of them to mail to your closest friends and family. I will be doing a technique class on kissing after the first of the year. So stay tuned.
The second card however is a standard sized business envelope. You can find fancier envelopes than standard business size if you are so inclined, but the postage should still be the regular price (I don't even know what that is. I just use forever stamps or send my husband to the post office.) even if you use a fancy side load style envelope.
